THE Kangaroos creep closer to making a decision over their future, with members of the club's board meeting the AFL yesterday in preparation for tomorrow's crucial meeting of the full board.
They are seeking a formal proposal from the AFL detailing the full details of the league's plans for a relocation north to the Gold Coast.Yesterday, only some club directors met with the AFL's Gillon McLachlan and Andrew Catterall to again discuss the sensitive issue of the club's possible relocation.Further meetings are scheduled for today, before the full board of the club is expected to debate the issue. At the full meeting, the board is hoping to have hard copies of the pro- and anti-relocation cases for what looms as one of the most important board meetings in the club's history. The Roos have denied they face a 30-day deadline on the issue, refuting suggestions that a decision must be made by December 1. The AFL said the club needed to relocate to the Gold Coast by 2010. -- KAREN LYON
